Visitor Visa

If you’re considering a trip to New Zealand for a holiday or vacation, you may need a Visitor Visa. This visa allows you to explore the country for up to nine months for tourism, visiting friends or family, or studying short-term courses.

If you from a visa waiver country, you may travel to New Zealand on a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA).  NZeTAs are generally valid for up to three months. If you are on an NZeTA and wish to remain in New Zealand for longer than three months, you will need to apply for a longer duration Visitor Visa.

Your partner and children may be included in your visa application. There are also family specific visitor visas if you are already in New Zealand and wish for family members to visit you.
